Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MyMacrosFast ("MyMacrosFast," "we," "us,"
or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the
MyMacrosFast mobile application (the "App"). MyMacrosFast is operated by
Hadi Ramlaoui, an individual based in California, USA.
This policy describes our data practices. It does not replace any
separate permission required before collecting or sharing your information.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Meal photos and descriptions. When you log a meal,
you may take or upload a photo of your food, or type a text description
of it. We use this to estimate the food items, portion sizes, and
macronutrient/calorie content of your meal.
- Maccy conversations. We process messages you send,
recent conversation context, and relevant draft or logged meal details
to respond to your requests. Avoid including personal details that are
not needed for your request.
- Account information. If you choose to sign in with
Google or Apple, we receive basic identity information from that
provider (such as your name and email address, as permitted by your
privacy settings with that provider) to create and secure your account.
When you sign in with Apple, we also keep the sign-in token Apple issues
to us, solely so that we can revoke your Sign in with Apple authorization
with Apple if you later delete your account (Apple requires this). You
can also use the App without signing in — in that case, your data is
tied to a randomly assigned anonymous account in Supabase. Session
credentials are kept on your device, but logged meals, uploaded photos,
and saved goals are stored on our servers, not only on your device.
Losing access to that session may prevent recovery of anonymous data.
- Body and goal details. If you use the Daily Goal
feature, you can enter your sex, age, height, weight, activity level,
and goal (for example, lose or maintain weight). We use these only to
calculate your suggested daily calorie and macronutrient targets. They
are stored with your account so your targets follow you across devices.
You can change them at any time from the Account screen, and they are
removed with everything else when you delete your account or data.
Information generated by the App
- Logged entries. The meals you log, including
estimated macros (protein, fat, carbs, calories), food names, portion
weights, and timestamps.
- Barcode scans and food searches. When you scan a
product barcode or search the food database, the barcode number or
your search term is used to look up that product and its nutrition
information from external food-data providers (see "How We Share
Information" below).
- Subscription status. If you subscribe to
MyMacrosFast Premium, we record whether your subscription is active so
the App can unlock Premium features. We receive this from Apple through
RevenueCat (see below); we never see your payment card details.
- Technical/diagnostic data. When enabled, Sentry
collects error, crash, and sampled performance information, such as
device type, OS version, timing, and the part of the App that failed.
Reports may include request or error context. We do not deliberately
attach your name or email to reports, and we remove authorization
headers before sending error events. Our backend and infrastructure
providers also process network and operational information to run and
secure the service.
We do not currently use behavioral analytics or advertising tracking of
any kind.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Analyze meal photos/descriptions and estimate their macronutrient and
calorie content
- Look up product and nutrition information for barcodes you scan and
foods you search for
- Store your logged meals so you can review your history
- Sync your data across devices when you're signed in
- Maintain, secure, and improve the App
- Diagnose and fix technical problems
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as
necessary to provide the App:
- Anthropic (the maker of the Claude AI models): meal
photos and text descriptions you submit, and the messages you send to
the Maccy assistant (together with recent conversation context and
relevant draft or logged meal details), are sent to Anthropic's API solely to identify food
items, estimate macros, and answer your request. Anthropic processes
this data as our service provider under their commercial API terms and
does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models by default.
See Anthropic's commercial data-use policy.
Anthropic generally deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days,
with exceptions such as safety enforcement and legal obligations, as
described in its retention policy.
- Supabase: our backend infrastructure provider.
Supabase hosts our database, file storage, and authentication systems,
and stores your account data, logged entries, and meal photos on our
behalf.
- Food-data providers (Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData
Central): to identify a scanned or searched food and its
nutrition, we query public food databases. When you scan a barcode,
your device contacts Open Food Facts directly, so that
provider may receive the barcode number and standard network
information (such as your IP address and a general app identifier).
Food searches — and barcodes not found in Open Food Facts — are sent
through our backend to USDA FoodData Central, which
receives the search term or barcode but not your device's IP address.
We do not send your account information, meal history, or any personal
identifiers to these providers.
- Google / Apple: if you sign in with Google or Apple,
those providers share basic identity information with us as part of the
sign-in process, subject to their own privacy policies.
- Apple and RevenueCat: if you purchase a
subscription, that transaction is handled by Apple's In-App Purchase
system. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status: it receives
your App Store transaction details and a random app user identifier
(your account's internal ID, not your name or email) so that your
subscription can be matched to your account and restored on a new
device. We do not see or store your payment card details — Apple handles
billing directly.
- Sentry: our crash-reporting provider (see
"Technical/diagnostic data" above). It processes error, crash, and performance information, which may
include request or error context.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if
required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of
MyMacrosFast, our users, or others.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your saved meals, photos, goals, and account information
to provide your account and history until you delete them or request
deletion. Stopping use of the App or uninstalling it does not by itself
delete data stored on our servers.
Moving anonymous data to an account. If you start
using the App without signing in and later sign in with Google or Apple,
the App asks whether to bring the meals from your anonymous session over
to your account. If you choose to, that data (meals, photos, pinned meals,
and — only if your account has none yet — your goal and body details) is
reassigned to your signed-in account. If you choose not to,
it stays under the anonymous session and is not linked to your account.
You can permanently delete your data at any time from the Account
screen in the App:
- If you're signed in, "Delete My Account and Data"
permanently deletes your account, every meal you've logged, any photos
you've uploaded, your goal and body details, and — if you signed in with
Apple — revokes your Sign in with Apple authorization and removes the
token described above.
- If you're using the App anonymously, "Delete My Data"
does the same for your anonymous session's data.
This deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Data is removed from
the live account, meal, and photo systems when deletion completes.
Backup copies may remain until the applicable backup retention period
expires. Limited operational, security, audit, or transaction records
may remain where needed for security, legal obligations, or billing.
In-app deletion does not automatically erase records held separately by
Apple, RevenueCat, or other providers under their retention policies. Deleting your
account does not cancel an active subscription — Apple
manages billing, so cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings
(the App links you there before deletion).
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly
collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13
has provided us with information, contact us at the email below and we
will delete it.
6. Your Choices & Rights
Regardless of where you live, you can contact us at any time to:
- Request a copy of the information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (or use the in-app deletion
feature described above)
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your
information, including row-level database security to restrict access between users.
Authorized backend services and providers also process data as described
in this policy. However, no method of transmission or storage is
100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material
changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required
by applicable law.
